Shower Butter Lotion Bars

What Is A Shower Body Butter Lotion Bar?

They may look like a bar of soap, but each Shower Lotion Butter Bar is actually a solid body cream that uses the humidity and warmth of the shower to soften, hydrate, moisturize, and leave skin silky smooth and dewy fresh.

Dry, parched skin after showering is actually quite common especially in winter.

Instead of rushing to slather on a water-based lotion, our combination of luxurious butters and oils turns into a creamy, soothing, nourishing lotion when applied to warm, wet skin.

These innovative moisturizers are the perfect last step to your shower routine. They are designed to be applied to wet skin in order to add a layer of protective oils to help seal in moisture.

Since we have always been told to apply moisturizers as soon as we hop out of the shower, why not use your shower as the optimal environment for skin hydration.

We have five varieties. Three are scented using pure organic essential oils.

Our Vanilla Bean Shower Bar is infused with loads of organic vanilla beans. The aroma of real vanilla beans is delicious, but vanilla is more than just a pretty scent. The major constituent of vanilla beans, vanillin, is a powerful antioxidant.

Our Cocoa Shea is a vegan bar with no added scent--just the delicious aroma of unrefined cocoa butter combined with the nutty, earthy scent of unrefined shea.

How To Use A Shower Lotion Bar?

These versatile bars can be used in so many ways. They are a wonderful way to moisturize your skin before leaving the shower! They smell great and go on smoothly.

Great for the shower or bath:*

  • Take the bar with you into the shower.
  • Cleanse and rinse your skin as usual.
  • While still in the shower (water on or off depending on whether you want to rinse) rub the bar with the flat side down all over your wet skin.
  • Rubbing in a circular or back-and-forth motion helps the bar transform into a creamy lotion as you rub it on your wet skin.
  • Pay special attention to extra dry places.
  • Your warm skin will readily melt the nourishing bar. You can see it transform into lotion as you rub it on your damp skin.
  • If applied to bottoms of feet, take care not to slip while exiting shower.
  • You can rinse a bit or just pat dry.
  • Using your hands, massage the lotion into your skin.
  • If desired do a light rinse, but is not necessary.
  • When you dry off, do not rub, but pat skin lightly taking care to not remove the lotion.

Shower Lotion Body Butter Bar Citrus Blossom* CAUTION: When using in a shower or bath, use caution as your shower or bath may become slippery.

The shower lotion can also be applied to damp skin outside the shower. Dry off a bit but leave skin damp. Using a body lotion bar on warm damp skin helps retain moisture.

Great for winter skin relief: I love to take long hot shower in winter (I know it's bad). That plus the harsh winter weather and low humidity reduces both the moisture and hydration levels of your skin. When skin is lacking in moisture it is dry and needs oil. When skin is lacking in hydration it is dehydrated and needs water.

Our shower lotion bars are wonderful emollients that helps moisturize skin. But they also help hydrate the skin by creating a protective barrier to slow down transepidermal water loss (the amount of water that naturally evaporates from the surface of the skin not related to sweating).

As a hair treat: Before leaving the shower, run your buttered fingers through the length or ends of your wet or dry hair!

As a bath treat: Use a a bath melt. Cut a sliver off the bar, drop into your tub and watch as it melts away releasing skin loving ingredients.

As a lotion bar: No time for a bath or shower--rub the nourishing oils and butters into dry skin patches.

Traditional lotion products are mostly water. Our waterless formula needs no preservatives and also saves energy.

Our solid body moisturizers are formulated with simple, powerful plant-based ingredients to soothe, smooth, and intensely nourish the skin.

Plastic-free packaging: The packaging inside the recyclable paperboard box is a recyclable, compostable glassine bag made from wood pulp.
